4:00 – 8:00 AM
Good morning world.
Looking out to a beautiful Sydney morning from the Trader LA office (aka my apartment).
The very first things I like to get done before I have breakfast and shower is check emails, check any overnight trades, check economic calendar and have a quick scroll through FOREXLIVE to update me on what happened during the U.S Session.
9:00 AM
Breakfast time.
Oates, banana and matcha (green tea).
While I am having breakfast I go through the following bookmarks:
I am also monitoring any open positions or looking for any potential setups. If I have a position so far away from my entry, I might head out for a walk or read a book. I also fire up good old Microsoft Word to record my trading thoughts throughout the day.
10:00 AM
Time to get some house chores done. Because I am into minimalism (which basically means my house isn’t filled with stuff), all my chores get done pretty quickly.
Thinking about firing my trading partner Cleo, as she is always falling asleep on the job
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
This is usually the time when the major Australian economic events are released. I analyse the data and get started on writing a blog post.
Reading through Bloomberg/Reuters news articles continues and I do some reading.
Some books I am reading at the moment.
1:30 PM
Lunch time.
I prepare a massive salad every few days so I don’t have to worry about preparing lunch every single day.
The above salad contains chicken, cheese, lentils, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, carrot, onion, cooked mushrooms and olives. Flask of green tea. Yum!
2:30 PM
Some days my brain goes into complete overdrive, so I might squeeze in a nap around this time or just get out of the house for a little bit.
Frequent trips to Gelato Messina with Adam and my cousin Richard – Best gelato in Sydney!
4:00 PM
Usually the time I put up my AUD/USD blog posts and see what’s on the agenda for the upcoming European Session. Also time to finish documenting my trades.
6:00 PM
Dinner time.
Usually something simple like salmon with salad or a stir fry. If Adam is home we might go for a walk and grab a bite to eat.
7:00 PM
Bath time.
I actually do my best thinking in the bath. I am usually going over charts and trades in my head or planning out any future posts.
Like my shower cap? hahaha.
10:30 PM – 11:00 PM.
Time to make decisions about any open positions and go to bed (unless there is some major economic release that I want to stay up for such as NFP or ECB meeting
).

Then I do it all over again the next day…
